FINAL MODERN SOUL IMAGE

This is my group's final Modern Soul image. This photo was taken in the Amaro Lounge on Ecclesall Road and the model is Alejandro Scott. This pub lounge was a perfect fit for the vibe that we wanted our project to be revolved around, it has a 60's style to it which fits the Northern Soul style very well. The model fit our brief also, as he has strong facial features including a jaw line and chilled cheek bones, he has a natural face with no makeup and short hair which is exactly what we were going for in order for the focus of the image to be on the clothes. We styled the model in a Ben Sherman top with a bomber jacket to represent the Northern Soul style with a Modern twist on it. The beer and cigarettes added to the clothes to make up the 4 Northern Soul related products. The photograph was edited using two different layers, one with the opacity down and moved slightly, this is to portray what people see when they are under the influence which is a huge part of Northern Soul, the drug scene.
