NORTHERN SOUL PRESENTATION 1

Myseld and my partner Amy Phillips had to do a group presentation for what we had done so far in our project. We decided to call the project 'Modern Soul' due to our concept (concept found in presentation).

GEORGIA:
Initial Research:
- Researched into what Northern Soul is through the us of websites, books, places and the Northern Soul Film on Netflix, this gave us a clear understanding of what the theme actually was and the vibe as a whole.
- This has helped us to be able to develop initial ideas for the projects - expand.

AMY:
Concept: 
- Our chosen concept is revolving Northern Soul into today's modern culture.
- We have decided to show how Northern Soul has become more modern in present day, while still incorporating aspects of Northern Soul from the 60's
- We want to show how it has changed from then to now, we want to portray the evolution of Northern Soul.

GEORGIA:
Photography:
- We used clothes that we bought from TK MAXX, including brands such as Ben Sherman.
- The top we got was Ben Sherman (as previously stated) and it was a soul top.
- We visited a charity shop and found some bomber jackets that we thought would go well with the outfits.
- We used beer, pills and cigarettes to mimic the music and dance culture.

AMY:
Film:
- For the videography we are going to have some sort of mix including a northern soul top hit and a modern day top ht, to portray the evolution of Northern Soul.
- We are thinking of making it look like a demo music video to show how Northern Soul is still around in present day, just with a modern twist.
- Locations for the film include a retro looking out, a multi story car park and more edgy looking places that we have visited around sheffield.
