WEEKEND STUDIOS LECTURE:

Weekend Stuidos is a company run by Kieran and Lewis who create interesting videography projects for a huge amount of brands such as Adidas, GymKing, Luxe To Kill and more. They have worked with some amazing people such as Elton John.

• Best to have videos last around a minute as people's attention span doesn't last long
• Quick and simple
• Short clips
• Good to have a colour palette to stick to it so it has a certain style
• The right model for the style of work being created is very important 
• Mood boards are useful to have before starting to film in order for yourself to know what type of cops you are looking for, for the specific project
• Think about the perspective of the video and size of spaced that can be used up
• A range of slow motion, sped up and normal speed clips will make the video more interesting, it all depends on the style of video being created 
• Keep the 'vibe' of the brand being worked with to make it relevant to the brand 
• High quality images and videos
• Storyboards and plans are useful for inspiration 
• Understanding of your audience 
• Plan would include: locations, what is happening in each location, what each member of the crew is doing, lighting and back drops, any props needed for the shoot 
• All shots made in one location should be done in one go as if you go back to it, factors would have changed and as a whole the film will look messy and unprofessional 
• All cast and crew get a plan so everyone knows what they are doing and what is happening throughout the shoot
• Tick off each part of the plan as you go along to make it clear what is left to be done
• The edit is where everything comes together and where the project finally works
• The amount of money the brand are putting into the video needs to be taken into consideration in order to see what can be created - the marketing of the video and brand also has to come into the budget for the project
• The music is important to compliment the video and also to set the right mood
